I think you either didn't hook up the main harness fully (or at all)

Or you kinda disconnected the face from the rest of your hu - its actually quite common

Oh yeah, did you disconnect your battery when you did the install?

ya the face is probably pulled from the actual radio unit behind it. Theres a little plug on the left side and right if i remember, and a few screws holding the onto the cd unit. Check that out first, same kind of thing happened to me. Try pushing hard on the face on the sides and see if anything changes

will it flash on at all for a second when you push and move things around, or is it completely dead. dumb question, but are you sure you have all the plugs connected and theres no wires that pulled out of the plug at all?

though the wire harness may be secure, you may have bent one of the tiny metal rods within the harness. This is what happened to me, I suggest you physically remove the whole radio and inspect the rear ports where you plug in the varios harnesses.

If a rod is bent, simply straighten it out (I used small needle nose pliers) and carefully plug in the harness.

head unit removal

I've been posting on the thread with hk drive + play and is auxmod advanced here and I need to talk with someone who removed their head unit. I have a 20004 RX8 and I removed the nut from the bolt up under the drivers seat. Did everything from the tutorials especially whatsmyrip. Can't free the upper left side of the stereo. Got the right side free.
