Hey guys I have an 04 JDM rx8.
Its a RHD japanese import.

There is one problem.
It wont play dvds or audio cds... from both disc slots(front and back)..
Also, the nav and entire system is in japanese. Is there any way to change the language... maybe like a software upgrade or somthing...??

 

I'm guessing the DVDs you're wanting to play are the nav discs, and not DVD movies correct?

 

yes.....
but I dont even care if those dvds dont work..
why wont it play a normal audio cd??
And what abt the language!??/

 

The DVD drive only plays the Navigation DVD and it might be region code specific to boot. Try taking it to your local Mazda dealer and see if they can try a nav disc for you and get the language changed.
