anyone who bought the ebay rx8 box

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...spagenameZWDVW

Does this box sit all way against the wall (the back seat). My playstation is sitting in the passthru so i have two inches beyond the back of the pass thru. Just wanted to know before i order the box for my d6's.

Thanks

Hi Thack,

I'm using a Zenclosure box and normally it does sit against the wall of the back seat. You can have the depth changed when you order, I did as I have my amps mounted to the back of the box.

I've had the box for several months now and I'm really happy with it, even with the change in depth shipping was super fast.

How close does the box come to the roof of the trunk? I have some Polk audio 6x9 in the rears and the magnet does come down a bit.
From the pics its hard to tell how far the box comes out and how high it goes.
Was considering the 4080 box with the rotary grill...which looks awesome...but the price is killingme and I might go with this one.

There's is enough clearance at the top for 6x9's I replaced the stock ones with MB Quart and didn't have an issue.

Honestly I don't like tht 4080 box for me the trunk space on the sides is valuable I.E placing golf clubs, groceries, dead bodies

The space the Zenclosure box takes up is pretty much unused real estate. Not to mention the cost of 2X 4080 box

The box is pretty close. I could not put my 6 1/2" Eclipse in w/ adapter plates. I looked into 6X9" but was scared of any w/ big magnets.

I used this box for awhile. The box is damn close to the rear seats, unless your specify a shallower box at time of ordering. Very well built. A+ on quality and fitment. Price too.

there is still room in the pass through and on top as well. i took the pocket off the back of my pass through panel and mounted my cap there on the back of the box. it fits perfectly behind it. if your PS is inside the pocket it will fit fine.

looks like the sub box takes up the place where a rear strut bar would go...

I just got mine today. Perfect fit. Had to wedge it in the truck lol. But I'm very happy with it. Mines 2-10" and have no clue on what would be the best system for it.

My as of trunk now

Amp goes for roughly $400-$420 shipped and the pair of subs go for $210-$230 shipped. Awesome amp, no doubts there. But if money is an issue, 1000WRMS can be had for much cheaper with other brands.

Dampening the trunk lid and most of the trunk bottom is not a bad idea. Nothing
makes your car sound like a cheap piece of crap like bass rattle.

money isn't that big of a issue for me know just got balance out which mods i'm getting. Just bought a KS Carbon Fiber hood, AEM Cold Air... I got some good dealers near me, so hopefully I can strike a deal with them.

Do you guys install your own or do you pay? I have friends that know how to do it, but i'm thinking I should pay to get it done right.

Yeah, one of my guys (in the army lol) told me something about dyno mat stuff that would make it sound a whole lot better.

It's dinamat - not dyno mat

but yeah it can't hurt to do your whole trunk - but it adds a LOT of weight - I didn't and i get a little bit of rattle, but you can barely hear it over the bass

Just as good, if not better. Surely cheaper.
