Wink anyone use a laser interceptor jammer

Recently bought a Laser Interceptor jammer, was checking out if anyone else had one and how they installed theirs, i was thinking of a similar method as the blinder diy that was listed.

They are illegal in my state. They aren't regulated by federal law.

correct not all states are legal just like radar, but some will try to get you on tampering with speed measurement devices argument.

I suggest making sure its legal in your state at least. once alerted slow down to speed and turn the unit off.

(or dont speed :P)

Even if they are illegal, they cannot tell you have it cause it looks like just a regular license plate bracket. Atleast the one I looked at from radarbusters.com did.

umm i wont be disclosing my install cause of being robbed before and me being paranoid.

you want to get the units as level as possible and as close to the lights as possible

you can risk going to jail i wont ^_^, it has a off switch that turns it into a parking sensor

Not sure how much i trust this but a place to start

o the plugs for i guess the heated seats are useful there is a wire in there that only turns on when the car is on,also there is a wire that turns on with the lights ^_^. multimeter is useful ^_^

they are legal in texas, some people owners of the li units use a switch to turn the unit into a parking sensor so for those places not allowed, it also has a software switch that can be set to automaticaly turn off jamming

i havent tried changing anything been lazy, was a pain.

the only difference in the way i did it was to not block the tow hook holes, ignore the level being slightly off the kitchen couter is slightly off on the level ground it was perfect. I used a combo of small pipe saw and a lighter and a razor to cut the grill... royal pita, i used screws to secure it and cut up some silicon vacume tube to make custom length spacers to keep it straight

wiring was simple, its the cutting of that stupid grill that was a pain, to route the wire just do like any power cable for a audio system, i am tapping the power off what would have been heated seats but since i dont have leather or heated i used that for the power, it only comes on when the car is on the on position and not on the acc, think i may move my radar to the same position.

the laser heads are simple phone connectors so once i got it in the car i pluged it into the computer box which is tiny so small its sitting in the carpet ^_^ the only thing that had to be wired was the power, it has a wire to ground out the audio source to act as a mute function but i cant use that. I am putting the switch in the flat front of the cup holder so its not visible to anyone looking in the car

i used my money i was going to use for the cobb on this T_T, still waiting on mazda maniac to complete my turbo so i though id hold off on buying it.

If an officer paints you with a laser, what do they see on their readout? Garbage? Almost seem like a dead giveaway that you're running a jammer; of course, depending on what else you're up to at the time, that may be an acceptable risk

I have the Beltronics remote laser/ radar detector - so I pick up laser but don't jam it - the jammers (IF you get in the right zone to jam) blank out the display for a few seconds before sending any laser back to the gun causing it be slow to respond.

Then warns you so you can slow down.... it is pretty noticeable; but if you hide it really good - what are they gonna say?

The problem is the readout on the speed gun. With some laser jammers, the gun will tell the officer that he is being jammed. In certain locations, this is important.

I bought an auction lot of radar detectors that had some of the Blinder kits in it.

I tried to take the heads apart, to install the LEDs inside the headlight, there is no really close mounting point near the RX8 light.

Found the leds are all mounted into epoxy and stuff, so, true to form, gave up and sold em.

i think we're pretty lucky in IL -- i believe there is some ongoing legislation and any tickets issued with lidar are being thrown out. i'm not sure if that's resolved yet.

my major issue is a speeding ticket is 100 bucks and a decent jammer is 1000. that's a lot of saves before it's paid for itself. plus the proportion of radar to laser it so much higher, and given how lazy chicago LEO is, it's likely to stay that way. i'm happy with my Bel

Plus, with the cold weather, the LEO doesn't want to be out in the environment. I hadn't heard about that legislation or tickets being thrown out.
I searched. LIDAR tickets were but are no more being thrown out of court. http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2...detectors.html

boo.. looks like the good times are over. lazy $%#%@s didn't even do that examination they were supposed to.

i actually was lucky enough to pick some scatter off a car in front of me on 90 out west not too long ago. so contrary to popular opinion, laser detection is not completely useless. not that i'd count on it...
