Anyone Install SmartStart

Anyone have the Viper SmartStart system installed on their RX-8? I really don't want to carry a silly remote since my advanced keyless remote is so sexy.

Thanks for the warm welcome, but there are zero threads for SmartStart here. If someone actually has it, I'd be interested to know how the install went and well it is working with the Rotary...

There are threads on it because I've read them.

Use your master search skills and show me then. viper smart start, smartstart, remote smart start, iphone remote start, etc... all turn up nothing. Maybe your West Virginia search skills can figure something out.

Why don't you quit being counter productive and show us a thread on SmartStart

https://www.rx8club.com/search.php?searchid=5542753

Couldn't find any myself.

But I think there is an RX8 Youtube Video showing this in action (think its UK or Australia though)

Smartstart is no different than any other remote start system as far as compatability is concerned.

I had to bump this thread because I find it so ridiculously laughable that you make the argument to do a search, make a huge deal about that there are threads on here because you've read them, and then you link to one of those supposed threads that is a 6 year old discussion that was also bumped that has nothing to do with Smart Start for the iPhone.

You don't read very well, do you? Let me say it again for you.

Smart Start is no different in terms of compatibility than their other remote start modules. Therefor, if one has successfully installed a different remote start, it stands to reason that Smart Start can be installed, see how that **** works?

Maybe you need it symbolically. a = remote start installed and b = smart start installed.

a > b which is if a than b

Now let's look at a truth table for that

a > b
t t t
t f f
f f t
f f f

The statement is true only when both statements are true.

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...42&postcount=4

Because other remote start systems can be installed a is true, and because if you can install other systems you can install Smart Start b is true so if a then b is true.

Thanks for bumping an old thread to make yourself look like a jackass!

oh i read all of your **** just fine, buddy. however, the OP was more asking on how the Smart Start system works with the iphone/viper, not remote start in general. of course remote starts work with the 8, he didn't need you to site threads on that.

perhaps you could next show me a chart comprised of fruit, or flashcards, or whatever else you believe will make you look clever.
