Any Point In me upgrading the Bose to this?
I have a set of Rockford Fosgate Sitting here.
Model: FRC-4269
http://www.epinions.com/pr-Car_Speak...ay_~full_specs
These are 6x9s, I know these should fit in the stock rear speaker location.
are these even worth my time taking the rear panels out and installing these?
will they make a difference in the sound?
or will it be even worse then the BOSE?
Let me know what you guys think!

well the bose are paper cones, so just about anything would be an improvement, but you might want to search around a bit as I think the only speakers safe to replace in the Bose are the tweeters, and the rest are all rated funky ohm wise. (like the door speakers are 6 ohm, the rears are like 2 or something weird, it's been a long time since anyone has discussed it but I could have sworn I read something to that effect a long time ago. (or maybe it's just my alzheimers
)
edit: one more thought, if these are in the rear do you really hear them? seems to me like a waste of time unless you cart around people back there alot, when my system is done I won't even have rear speakers anymore

The stock rear bose speakers are 2 ohms. Those ones are 4 ohms, so they are going to be a bit quieter, and you may need to play with the fade. I replaced my rear deck speakers with a set of infinity kappa 2 ways and was very pleased with the result, the sound has a lot more definition now. I'm still using the stock tweeters, but they are going to go away when i finish my install.
If you check the audio info sticky you will find that all the bose tweeters are 4 ohms, the rear deck are 2ohms, the front center is 4 ohms, and the 9 inch door woofers are a 0.5 ohm impedance.

The rear speakers in the bose system consist of a 6x9 1 way woofer, and a 2 inch tweeter, both powered seperately by the bose amp. You can replace the tweeters or the woofer without effecting the other.
I urge you to check the audio install reference sticky.

Alright..
It really seems to be a waste of my time trying to install these.
I 'll just stick with the BOSE.....
No Biggie, Not a audiophile anyways.
Thanks guyz
