amp installation question

I'm looking for an amp to power 1 Infinity Kappa 10" sub (DVC with 275W handling 1,100W peak.....4ohms per coil). When it comes to the numbers and physics of running an audio system I'm completely ignorant. Installing it for me is the easy part. If someone out there could tell me what numbers i need for an amp to run this sub with the possibility of adding another sub in the future that'd be awesome. Thanks guys!

I'm running the base system...not bose.

You always want an amp that provides the same watts rms that you sub can handle. If your sub handles 275rms get an amp that provides that amount or near that amount of power.Don't look at the peak handling of subs or amps because it's bunch of bullsh*t.Always look at RMS which is the true measurement of how much your sub or amp can really handle.Get a 2 chanel amp that can provide you with about 600 watts rms when bridged. You can use one chanel for now & you can bridged it when you have 2 subs for more power.
