Is there a kit to install the nav aftermatket? I am pretty sure I would like to put the nav in but I have not seen a kit for it from mazda.

nope, not installed like factory. You can strap on a handheld GPS which in my mind is a pretty hokie solution for such a nice car. There are lengthy threads extolling the virtues of each approach.
