I can't imagine it sounds amazing. Ten coaxils behind the listener for starters. But again, I'd have to see what's up front too. Probably 20 more up there and 10 more on a center channel. LOL

yeah, it would probably sound terrible but the sheer earth shattering potential of this thing would be quite amusing.

I have 2 10's with a custom box in my trunk

amp bolted on back, cut out plastic covering so it still fits, when closed

I do have a question tho. i heard people saying just tap the left speaker.. Why just the one? I have an RCA converter box, that wires + and - into this box then you have the 2 rca's that plug into amp. I have noticed that the car unit doesn't really adjust the the bass the way it should..can this be fixed? or do i need a remote for amp to control power?

What do you mean?

Some people say just tap one speaker because it really doesn't matter. You're just hijacking the signal from somewhere. The only advantage is your sub will not fade if you balance from left to right.... but who really does that?

right...

like when i control the bass from the radio the bass on the sub doesnt lower. It would make since if it did since im connecting from the rear speakers.

Now i have to get a remote for the amp to control power and "loudness"

It should/does. If you lower the bass setting, less low-end is sent to the rear speakers and, there-by, less to the sub. Sounds like you have the line output converter/gain cranked so high you can't tell the difference. I would find where the line output converter is hidden and turn the ***** a little counter clockwise. Now you should have to have the bass setting on the headunit higher to get the same output you're used to having. But now a lower setting should give you a bit less output too.

While the Bose is lacking for some of us in the bass department, dual 12's is overkill. You'd be better off with two properly powered 10 inch subwoofers.
Ask me how I know.
Jedi, your 2-10's in the 4080 boxes kill most 2-12's set-ups anyday....I agreee with JEDI.... properly powered subwoofers. Yesterday I helped Kingsfan install his Pioneer double din along with full Rocksford Fosgate Cable, Rocksford Fosgate Amp, Rocksford Fosgate Punch 10 inch (x2).... and for a 300 watt set-up THAT THING KNOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS (ZENCLOSURE BOX). I would suggest this setup for anyone who just wants a bit more bass that doesnt cause everything to rattle. YOu dont need big woofers for SICK BASSS.... JEDI's car causes Earthquakes (seriously)

Anyways,..... how Jedi said, properly powered subwoofers.

Laythor: no you are not the only one I have (now IZZY) has a single 10 inch woofer that is more than enough when properly powered and enclosed in a proper box with proper air space that the sub requires. (Zenclosure box)

also.... Laythor where did you get that bottom piece? Amp rack?

thanks Mike & Zumn.
I still remember Zumn hearing my system for the first time at the Big CA Meet.

as for 12's vs 10's.
I've had both dual 12's (in my 626) and the dual 10's.
What I found is that it all comes down to how you mount them (bandpass, open box, seperate boxes, etc. Proper sized boxes is critical) what rating the subwoofers are, and how well you power them. If you under power the subs, you're doing yourself an injustice. Over-power them and that can be bad as well.

I'm super happy with my current setup, wouldn't change it for a thing but I listen to a lot of rap & hip-hop so I enjoy the extra bass. Some people don't like to feel their bass as much and two subwoofers might be too much.
Like most things in life, it comes down to personal preference.

my problem was this mine sounded good with rap n hip hop but with metal and dual bass pedal it was just rediculous so just turn the remote bass controler down,

i cant wait til i finish the system im my new car i think itll be rather satisfyning in gonna need a custom box though

remember to properly adjust the gain on your amp, that could help you with getting the right sound.

the bottom piece is the trunk organizer that mazda makes.. bought it from some dealer out of state a few years ago. The amp is under the passenger seat. I wanted a very subtle install.

I will agree with your statement about proper power and box size. My box was custom made by a local shop and it is CRAZY loud if i put the spurs to it.

@Jedi.. **** you.
