wondering if 6x9 will fit in the door. thinking bout getting the ks693 they have a mounting depth of 3 3/16. http://www.kicker.com/06/kicker_home.html

Or do i have to fall to a 6 1/2 size speaker.

If i were you I would start with the 3rd thread in this forum.. you know, the one that start with the exact words "speaker sizes"

but IMO those speakers are crap. especially for fronts.. spend some real money and get some nice Boston Acoustics or something.

don't bother changing the big door speaker in the bose. Just change the front tweeters (for lack of a better description) to something high quality.

I highly recommend the Infinity Kappa Series.

Or the Infiniti Reference series is sweet. Rockford Fosgate has some new speakers that sound pretty nice

I was thinking about this part of my stereo rebuild. Aren't the Bose tweeters 2" because they need to cover a greater portion of the midrange, since 9" woofers aren't going to be able to cover the upper range as well as a traditional speaker? If this is the case, do the infinity kappa's have enough frequency range to not leave a gap in response?
