4th HU Display broke because of heat

I live inn Texas and it is very hot. I have had my Headunit display break 3 times because of the heat. When it gets hot the display just starts showing random jibberish and I have to hit the headunit to start working again. Now, My display just bnroke again and the dealer says it wont fix it bc of my icelink i pod hook up. any one else have this experience??

i would go back to the dealer and fight the warranty. there is a federal law that states any aftermarket product must officially be proven to cause failure to the product/part in question. they just dont want to give it to you for free. if i have time ill look up the exact code that its under

if it happened before you installed the icelink, ESPECIALLY if its happen three whole times before, then i'm sure you can argue that the icelink has nothing to do with it...

I live in Texas and had the car for about 3 years now. My head unit is fine. Just a thought, you might want to recheck the wirings again.

My head unit broke once, but I don't know if was due to heat- could have been. But this was in Feb adn Phoenix isn't exactly scortching then (only 70 degrees).
I've hit well over 135 in my cockpit and radio works just fine..........
