Hello all, I just got my RX 8 GT a week ago and am looking to upgrade the audio. I have been reading the forum and have seen multiple reference to the "4080" box. Can someone give me some insight about this box. What it is, where to get one or dimensions to build. Thanks in advance. Man I love this car

 

4080 is a member on this forum that makes a custom, 10-inch sub box that fits into either side of the trunk. it's very high quality and the fitment is perfect. i know because i have one.

Welcome to the forum. Since this is your first post, hopefully everyone will take it easy on you. FYI, learn to use the search feature, it is your best friend here.

The 4080 box is a fiberglass box built by member 4080. It fits is the back of the trunk (left & right is available) in the depressions near the tail lights. It is a perfect fitting, great looking box. I believe it is about .75cf made for sealed 10" subs. Use the search functiion and you will find many pics of them. They are expensive, but everyone that has them say they are worth it.
