4 Channel Amp or Bose?
How bad do aftermarket speakers sound with the factory Bose amps? I've researched the best I can. I just want to know if anyone replaced the factory Bose speakers but still use the factory amps. If so how does it sound? I hope I don't need a 4 channel amp on top of a sub amp because I don't want to lose anymore trunk space than I have to.

I don't think that it is possible-since Bose uses like 1/2 ohm or something--also--in most applications--BOSE speakers are powered by their own amps--is this the case in the RX8?

Yeah, the rears which are 2ohm have an amp, the fronts are .5ohm have seperate amps in each door for them. It can be done but I'm 99% sure it will be a waste of time. Those amps in the doors are tiny so they won't do a thing at 4ohms. I just didn't want to buy two amps or one big amp. But I found the Soundstream TR800/5 will fit almost perfectly in the trunk indentation, so I won't be losing much more "useable" trunk space anyways. Thanks for the reply.
