Question 2DIN with climate-control (Europe)

I apologize in advance if this topic has been created, but in searching for anything useful itself is not found. I have Mazda RX8 (Hi-Power), from Europe (Germany) with climate control and CD changer for 6 CDs. I'd like to put some good music, but I need to remove the standard CD-changer. I found a frame for the transition to 2 DIN (from Metra), but it is not suitable for cars with climate control. Anyone know solutions of this problem?
My car born in '04.
Sorry for my English, i know him really bad...
Thanks in advance.

do you have *****, or electronic/digital climate control?
If you have ***** it should work, did you contact Metra to see if there kits work with European model RX8's? I have a metra kit single DIN and my climate control works fine.

The Metra kit will work if you have manual climate controls. If you have the digital/automatic climate controls, I don't think it will.

Previous to Metra making their kit, a Japanese company called Kanatechs made a double-din kit for the RX8. It was available for both manual or automatic climate controls. It was sold here in America by a company called Corksport. Japanparts also sold it I think. It was much more expensive than the Metra kit (about $450 versus $150). Once Metra released their kit, the Kanatech kit stopped being made. It just wasn't competitive anymore. You can contact these companies directly to see if they still have an automatic version of the Kanatech kit lying around, but all of them have removed it from their websites.

You might be able to find one used, but it will be tough. Especially since you may be looking for the one with automatic climate control capability. That's something nobody wanted/cared about in America (since all our RX8's are manual). Your best bet on finding a used one would be to find other RX8 owners outside America. Some people call it the "Corksport kit" others may call it the "Kanatechs kit." It's the same thing.

not a very big picture, but I have not found more
in America, rx-8 with no climate control, so I made it clear that is from Europe. I have auto climate-control (with button Auto)

Metra have a frame-kit (with Air-Condition Control Box in the kit) for install on the car with automatic climate-contol system?

I found it. But the price is really quite different: (
None of Russia have not heard about frame for auto climate control (I myself always sitting on the Russian forum rx8club.ru). Auto climate are also installed on the machine in Japan, and some of the cars come from Japan with an already installed system, but there are no names, only the japanese characters that no one understands

Huh. It's good to see that corksport seems to be selling them again. I know they stopped for awhile.

Well, there you go. That's really your only option. I know it's quite a bit more expensive, but if you want to replace the factory CD changer, it is really your only choice. At least be relived it's a little cheaper now than it was before Metra released their kit. Think I paid around $475 for mine. It worked perfectly right out of the box without a single issue until I uninstalled it and sold it here on the forum.

Kanatechs is the manufacturer of the kit. Corksport is a distributor here in the US. Same kit.

Could have swore I said this already...
