2004 RX8 - DICE or Axxess Comparison

I'm not a big fan of the Audiolink (though I know a lot of people like it, and have had no problems with it). For someone with an early 2004 RX8 with a v9.55+ HU, but no SAT button - I was looking at the DICE or Axxess ipod solution. Hopefully folks will add/correct/delete items to create a quick comparison for folks wondering what solution to get. With the devices bordering around $140-$160 each, it's a same-cost alternative to the OEM and Audiolink solutions (at least here in Toronto).

The Newest NeoProLink v1 (PODMAZV1) is nice, a bit more money ($199 - but I don't care) however people have complained about the audio quality on it, and it lacks some of the features (so I have read, but cannot confirm) of the other solutions. Strange considering it and the DICE are packaged the same. Regardless I have chosen to exclude it from the comparison below.

So here it is....need the forum help and I'll "edit" the lists below for more accuracy. It would be nice to have this in a sticky post when complete.

DICE (R1 - No Text, Since 2004 model won't allow for text)
Supports: Ipod Classic (80GB, 160GB), Ipod Touch (8GB/16GB), Ipod Mini, Ipod Photo, IPhone, iPod 4th & 5th Generation, Ipod Nano (1, 2, 3 generations)
Connects: Via CDC/SAT port
Keeps IPod charged
Controls: Steering Wheel, Radio, and IPOD mode
Radio functionality: next track/previous track, playlist control, random, repeat
Connects to IPOD or AUX input available
Price: $140-$160 (depending upon retailer)

AXXESS
Supports: pod Classic (80GB, 160GB), Ipod Touch (8GB/16GB)**, Ipod Mini, Ipod Photo, IPhone**, iPod 4th & 5th Generation, Ipod Nano (1, 2, 3 generations)
Connects: Via Tape/MD port
Keeps Ipod charged
Controls: Steering Wheel, Radio, and IPOD mode
Radio functionality: next track/previous track, playlist control, random, repeat
Connects to IPOD or AUX input available
Price: $140-160 (depending upon retailer)
Note: Previous problems with overheating - suggested that new firmware may help in future releases

**I've read numerous posts and saw that RPMstore lists the Axxess as not supporting the ITouch or Iphone, but the Mazda6 forum, and posts on RX8club suggest it works just fine with either device with no problems.

So with the exception of text, and the difference in connectivity (Tape/MD vs CDC) -- both appear to be pretty much the same.

What am I missing here that I should update the lists above? Deficiencies, problems, other features specific to either or both devices?

Thanks everyone!
