12V Rails. Car PC. Argh.

So I just noticed today I am going to need 3 12V rails for my install (LCD, Satellite, Open/Tilt Nav control). The PC i purchased (Aopen MP945d) has none, naturally. I will have one 12V coming from the Carnetix PSU but I have no idea how im going to draw 12V's for the other two items.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where I could tap 12Vs from?

well the entire car pretty much runs on 12 V - you can get it from anywhere, the easist place is the cig lighters. or run your own dedicated line from the battery (but make sure you add a fuse)

Heya Pat

I believe your using the Carnetix p2140 right? If so you have two 12V rails, you can also pick up a Carnetix CNX-P5V this will give you a 5V out put to power a usb hub ( its really small fits inside the 2140,)

Like WikkedOne said for any additional 12V you can just tap the cig lighter.
If you have any questions let me know I been using the 2140 for a while now.

I went with the P1900. It has one 12V rail which I will use for the LCD. Unfortunatly I don't think the P2140 wouldn't help me though as it's main rail can be set for 12V but I will need that rail to power the PC.
