04 CD -> Aux Kit

I have an 04 RX8 which does not come equipped with an Aux port (that i can find) and I heard there was a kit that can hook up to the back of the CD player that disables the CD player but enables an Aux port for mp3, iPod, etc...

I am looking to hardwire in my new Sirius Satelite Radio and it needs an aux port to do so. Is getting this kit the only way I can do this, or is there any other kits that can use the tape/MD player (as I dont have either, and would be perfect to use that audio input if there is a kit that can hook up to it instead of the CD player input)

I am trying to avoid using the FM transmitter to run the satelite radio if at all possible

If anyone has any suggestions or methods they know work, that would be great, thanks

I use a FM modulator that plugs directly into the antenna port on the back of the radio for my satellite and it works fine. I also have the factory IPOD adapter that plugs into the rear of the deck. The CD thing just seems dumb to me and will burn up your cd player eventually.

so you have aux input and ipod connections both available? where did you get that aux input unit from? i have the mazda ipod integration hooked up to the cd changer port on the back of the radio, i would ultimately like to have both functions available to me but im not sure its possible

No my ipod adapter goes into the cd changer port and my satellite goes directly into the antenna port via the adapter but it just make the normal interference you get from FM adapters disappear.

The sound quality is pretty good to me. Not what my ipod is but still good. Honestly I mainly listen to talk on my Sirius.
