I want to get some body parts but every where I turn "special order" 7 years to get. Come on people if you want to make money you got to spend a little to get some in return.

I know what you mean
everything is a huge wait
I will tell you why
its a rx8 which is kinda rare
compared to a civic, accord, prelude, integra etc etc
I hate it too

Mike, I am sorry to say the RX-8 is a nice car but........ not rare by any means. They are all over the place around here.
I like the r-magic front end and the autoexe.
If someone had one or the other in stock NOW I would gladly take it off there hands.

It all comes down to carrying cost and inventory turns. If a suppliers has to sit on a product for lets say 3 months without selling one it is cheaper for him to not even sell them. The cost of carrying items far out weights the sale. Lets say a 1000$ bumper sits on the shelf for 3 months. The cost of carrying that bumper is like 80$ a month. Now after 3 mths it is now 240$ it cost them to have it. Now if they do sell it for let say 30% above their 700 cost, they would have made 60$ on paper but in reality would of loss money after you factor in freight, processing charges, bank fees and all other little things that get factured in prices..now this would all be a mout point if they sold 4 or 5 a month of the same Item then that would justify the stock.
