My back window is tinted, but it seems like there's almost a fog or blur to it. I bought the car (a 2004) used, with the tint already done... and I've taken it to a few places and someone told me that the reason it looks that way is because the back window defroster was being used too much. It's only a 2-year old car, and I don't know exactly when the windows were tinted by the previous owner, but I don't think that's the reason for the blurring/fogginess... seems kind of sudden.

Is it just a botched tint job? Anyone else have this problem? Maybe it is because the defroster was used too much (not by me...)? Let me know! Is there tint specially made to look frosted?? I don't know these things

Either way, I'm pretty much stuck with it since every place I've taken it to thinks it's too risky to take off (for fear that they'll **** up my defroster). Meh...

 

i dunno, ive had my tint on for about 2 years and never had any problems with the rear window. Occasionally it just gets a bit foggy from me not cleaning it enough on the inside (only the outside), but when i use some "invisible glass" cleaner its nice and clear

I've tinted the windows on all my car but it's tough to tell whats wrong with your tint without pics. If you post them, we'll see what we can come up with
