Ok so I promised my parents when they helped me get my 8 that I wouldnt go crazy modding it like i did with my WRX. Since i bought it all i have done is rims and exhaust and springs. So lately i have been thinking of selling the car and getting something cheaper and better on gas but the more i think about it the more I love this car and am willing to look past its flaws. So I have been thinking of a body kit and when the idea was brought to the Dad he wasnt to happy with it but was willing to let me get one if i wanted too. Well I am a little strapped for cash and was thinking of just settling with the LEG carbon lip since i think it looks pretty sweet on blue like the one in the pics. So question is, instead of getting a whole body kit should i just replace the factory front lip with this one even though i know they are similar in some ways to get that aftermarket look? and also do you guys think i should keep in CF or paint it? The pics arent the best but they were the best i could find:

i would go for the LEG lip, but happy scraping!!

 

Atleast get a CF hood to match the lip.

 

hood? nah. Something would need to be done about the aero flares or whatever the half-side skirts are called and the "triangles" on the rear. CF covers or getting new ones made from CF would help to complete the look. Add a CF lip spoiler and that would make for a hot looking car.

If you get a carbon front lip and don't paint it, think about getting carbon side skirts to keep the flow around the bottom... sort of like the gunmetal gray strip at the bottom of the MazdaSpeed kit. Just my opinion, ya dig?
