If I recall I have 55%, 35%, 20%. I find the back too dark at night for my taste, if I were to redo, I would do 55% front and the rest 35%.

I wouldn't go any darker than 20% on the side windows. It's a real pain to have to roll down the windows to see where to turn into the driveway at night.....my wife has limo (5%) on her pickup, so I know about it first hand.

Although I do have limo tint as "eyebrow" on the front windshield. That works very well to cut down on glare.

 

i just got 20% tints today all around, i also have a strip that goes across the top of the windshield. This dims street lights at stops and the sun. it looks really good with titanium gray. I think if I were to black out my lights I would definatly be pulled over.

im gonna tint my windows on wednesday ..which is tomorrow ...i was wondering if i should do the windshield .....my car is yellow and with black tints 20% ,im afraid cops will be after my tail ....and ....mostly coz im afraid it might be hard for me to see ...thats what im worried about ...i dont wanna crash my car ...

any one has any ideas or comments on what i should do ? or should i just stick to 20 % all round ?

 

I just had 20% put on my car this last weekend. Of course, 32% is the legal limit in Kansas, but as long as you don't act like a jackass if you are pulled over, the cops usually don't mind the darker tint (just turn on your dome light if you are pulled over at night, so they can see in). Also, it helps to get a higher quality tint, such as one that has a double layer of metal in the film as opposed to getting a dyed film, as the higher metal content kind of gives a mirror effect, making it harder to see in.

Oh, for the noobs out there.. 0% tint means 0% light passes through. Might as well just spray-paint your windows solid black. And as far as full tint on the windshield goes, that is highly illegal, and highly stupid.

 

If your going for a high quality tint, stay away from ones with metal in them, they can reduce cell phone, gps, and radio signals, espically for a car like the RX8 that has the radio antenna laid in the rear glass.

So far I haven't had any issues with my cell phone or radio. In fact, my previous car (a '94 MX-3!) had the exact same film on it for three years before I traded/gave it away, and again had zero issues.

i have 40% platinum tints and i personally love it. gives it the exotic look like porsche and no cops give me problems. It was hard to find in my area... mind you these are NOT the frost ones lol

Really happy with my 35% all around. Good visibility at night and I can still see out my back window. Would get same % again.

 

im thinkin of getting 30-35's all around, would like to stay with just uniform percentage on all windows...

40% is seriuosly almost nothing. I just got 5% on my black 8 all around, and it looks sick, if you were to get 5%it would look mean cause ur car is white

 

IMO 15 all around gives the best look with minimal visibility issues, and TECHNICALLY shouldn't tint be posted under INTERIOR? just a thought
