Im in the process of purchasing a cf vented hood, and I wonder how do people with vented hoods keep water out of the engine bay; be it from rain or going to the car wash

 

the Seibon TS hood comes with covers mounted to the bottom of the hood. they guide the water to the front of the engine bay so it can drain out.

personally, i took mine off. i think it lets the heat out of the bay better. the water that gets in doesn't bother me too much and is pretty minimal. just try not to spray water directly into them and you should be fine.

 

I have herd and through searching that some seibon hoods don't come with the undertray like the KS style I've been looking to buy the water catcher..

 

i don't care. batt is in the trunk, air intake is cai... so if water comes in from the ks style, it goes right out.

fuse box has a cover, so what's the big deal? it's not like your engine bay is sealed from the bottom either.
