varis vortex generators and center rear diffuser ?
does anyone have these on their car with pics? apperently they are track tested and work, but does anyone know what they do and how they work? I don't know how they work and was wondering if anyone had some insite as to how they work, I assume they create downforce somehow?

Stop air from getting under car in front and side, rear diffuser helps by aiding air to escape from under car so you get vacuum for downforce.

The idea behind a vortex generator is that it will help keep the air flow in a steady state and keep the flow from becoming turbulent. If the flow becomes turbulent, the air flow will separate from the (in this case) car, and it will prevent the flow from creating down pressure on the rear end. Keeping this flow from separating would hypothetically reduce the amount of drag on the car, which would increase gas mileage, increase down force, and increase speed. However, I would question how much of an increase you would get out of them. I would think that it would not be very significant, but I was wondering what others thought??

vortex generators have to be custom made the the shape of the car do to how air flows around it. If you slap any old brand names on your car it will do absolutely nothing.
Even if they are custom made for an rx8 i find it hard to believe that their benefit will ever see the light of day in normal driving or even the occasional weekend track.
