V1 Kit Installed

HAY Guys I got my V1 kit done and installed this weekend. I put it on and I am very happy with it HOWEVER!!! When I installed the rear lip. I noticed that there was not much room between the exhaust tips and the kit...(NOTE* If you get this rear lip and you have an aftermarket exhaust... get your Dremel out... cuz your gonna need it...) After I installed the kit.. I had to drive to the Brea Mall in CA about 20 miles away for Christmas shopping, and when I got there I looked at the rear and saw that the kit was in fact too close to the tips and had melted the kit on the inside.. Now, I was warned about this on the Veil Side site and when I installed the kit I did see that it was very close.. So I sort of expected it. The good thing is that when I got home I took the rear lip off and got the magical dremel and went to work.. I took out all the melted parts and left some extra clearance room for the tips... It came out very nice you can hardly tell its been trimmed.. Other than that I am very happy with the kit fitment and Looks are great. the only bad thing is the melted crap all over my exhaust tips... does anybody have some suggestions on how to get that crap off?? maybe easy off oven cleaner? my first guess...

OH BTW I will get some pictures up later on today..

I knew it was going to melt because I did see the disclaimer on the site and Veailside Told me about it when I purchased it...Also when I mounted it I knew it was very close it was about 1 cm from the tips.... Your installation shop should have told you about the potental problem if they where doing the work... it is VERY OBVIOUS that it is very close to the tips.. I have the exact same exhaust as you I think.. The trim seems to have fixed the problem with minimal modification to the kit.. But it is a bummer the kit melted in the first place because the kit looks soo dam good with that exhaust.

yeah thats one of the reasons i went MS rear over VS cuz of the melting issues and I have the B&B exhaust which is close in size to the Greddy....its sad because of a design flaw but the V1 rear is damn nice....
