Underglow and parade

Well, today there is a parade in Rehoboth, DE, and my car club is in it. So, over the weekend I installed some underglow. LED, seven colors, a bunch of patterns. It looks great. I was very surprised how easy it was to install and hide wires. I'll take my digi camera with me tonight and take some pics of the glow. If anyone else is interested in underglow, I really suggest this underglow kit. It's StreetGlow's Optx. They're LED's, so they are very bright. Plus, its not too bad on price. I paid about $150, on sale. I think the guy said that they are normally about $200. Took me about 2.5 to 3 hrs to install, but I took my time.

personally i wouldnt want the lights under the entire car...maybe just the front grill but from that picture i think it looks pretty good...can you change the color easily though? Idk if i would do it but i've thought about putting green, blue or purple under the hood right where the front grill is

It's very easy to change. Simple push of a button. There's even a setting that rotates through all seven colors. As soon as I get a chance I'll get pics of each color.
I'm really glad for the mostly positive feedback.

Very cool. I always love the snow shots. They really bring out the colors.

Sounds like you have the same brand of kit that I have in my interior. I'm actually not as happy with it as I thought I'd be... Now, I'm wishing I'd just saved up for the kit I originally wanted: http://iceled.co.uk/

2million colors > 7

When your lights are set to cycle between all the colors, does it sometimes "snap" right back to white instead of slowly cycling to it? Mine usually flows through all the colors about 2 1/2 times, then right in the middle of the next cycle... it's white again. Really cheapens the effect.

That happened with the one I had on my civic. There was a problem with it with a simple solution. I just cant remember what it was. I'd check all of your connections make sure there tight. and you're right, 2 million > 7. How much was that kit anyway?

My kit? It was only about $75 installed. The ICELED kits, I think, run upwards of $200 installed (but if you check out the vids, you'll see they're definitely worth the extra expense).

I figured the quick change was just due to a programming error or something? I'd love to get that fixed...

Well, another parade tonight. Hopefully this one wont get cancelled. It's in Laurel, DE. Again, I'll try and bring a camera and get some pics.

Steakboy, that red underglow looks great! Matches with the 8's interior lighting! Anybody here got the colormorphics LED kit? It's pretty expensive though.
