Titek Ram Air Duct

http://www.fluidmotorsports.com/p-97...r-styling.aspx
(5th one down)
Hey does any body know some one or use this product themselves? Did a search with no luck, I kinda like the way it looks and its cheaper than the RB Duct. Any opinions on the matter? Considering using with the K&N to help with intake temps, i know the k&n has higher intake temps, no need to flame me. Just considering all my options.

umm... 2 completely different items. The RB duct scoops air from the front bumper grille and looks very stealth. The ricer 350z ram air duct cuts a hole in your front bumper. RB = $130 Titek = $95. Easy choice lol

I don't recall what our OEM intake pieces look like but if you were to install this in your bumper and made sure the air actually flowed into the intake box via whichever method (opening directly into hole in front of box IIRC) then this would be functional. I really don't remember what the OEM intake box looks like, I'm merely trying to emphasize that this mod can be effective/is not only for vanity.

I agree with rossdawg on the pricing, you will also need to cut your OEM bumper for the inlet.

So Gr8bullet, this is actually a functional piece on your car? What kind of intake are you running with it? Like so far?
Thanx for the pics too, helps give me an idea how mine might look.

i think if you have a k&n it MIGHT be functional to a certain extent with the oem box DEFINITELY now coz the vfad cuts it off unless you remove it but looking at the design its almost surely not as functional as the rb

both the ram air duct and the titek divert the outside air toward the intake box. have a tunnel for the titek through the intake hole and its basically the same. just a more direct draw of air.

the difference would be the amount of dirt that gets into your engine bay and on the filter. considering the ram air duct is designed to reduce that.

I wanted this when I had my 350 and I still totally want it on my 8. IMO it would look a lot better on that red car without the chrome pins holding it in, I would prefer black to keep it a little more low-profile.

Look cool and functional if lined up right. Plus your avatar is sweet

I am still debating on getting one myself.
