I think you should read the packaging. Is this the intended purpose, or is this window tint?

I think most people use vinyl

It might work but it will be a bitch to put on and probably not look too great unless you're a pro. I bought a kit that was already pre-cut for our taillights and it took me over an hour to do one side. It didnt look all that great (air bubbles) so I took it off.

forget it, i went to return it and bought Vinyl, what RXeligion said, from Lowes. Thats what someone used on their 8 before, cause its meant for the outside and its a different material. regular tints r for the inside, i guess thats why it wouldnt work...

Exactly. The vinyl should be more flexible and stretchable, too. I think there is a DIY on here for installing, but if not, there are bound to be videos on u-tube. I've thought of doing this with red on my NG, but I haven't decided yet.

Never seen and heard this one before. Try it and see how it goes. Post pics when done.

Monchie, who are you addressing? Red tint on NG or interior tint on the outside of the tails? I just cant see window tint working out well. I'm seriously thinking of the red on NG, thought. I might play with photoshop to see how it will look.

Get a can of VHT Nightshade, works like a charm.

What op bought, or similar from the op. Just wanted to see how it looks. Might be thinking of doing it.
