Whats up everyone, own a Sport model 8 without a sunroof. Thinkin about haveing one put in, but im worried its gonna leak or something. has anyone had an Rx8 without a roof and then added one after? howd it come out? this will porobably make or break ym decision of cutting my roof. Thanks alot in advance for the help!

It is possible... it isnt cheap. There is a custom auto body shop near me that does those sort of installs. By not cheap I mean it will be thousands of dollars.

The cost will also depend if you want automatic or manual. The pop up take out kind, are not expensive, but are prone to leaking.

I priced this as I plan on doing prior to winter. Found a very reputable after market install shop. Lifetime warranty. Fully automatic. $645 out the door. They stated leaking was covered under the lifetime warranty.

^ I saw the thread above.... was there "true" proof that the person had it done?? I mean they could have used a pic of 2 different WB "8's". Someone did ask for close up pix and they never responded to the request.

I mean, I'm just asking.. I have one on my car already, but I'm just concerned about the OP.

i heard it wasnt good for your car to do that. the ones that were built with a sun roof installed are reinforeced or something. But for 600 ish go for it see what happens.
