Just as the title states, im wondering about the legality of deleting the side markers.

I searched on google for a few pages and found nothing on rx8club, though i know this question had to be asked before.

Since i have metro gray finding a ms front is rare, so buying authentic is out of the question for me.

I know most if not all replicas suck especially around the side markers, so why not delete them and never have to deal with those issues of markers falling/popping out/shoddy fitment.

Im asking this because i remember reading on 7club about FD's being pulled over for not having any side lights or something along those lines.

side markers are not a requirement, think of all the cars out there that do not have them.

You do however need some sort of turn signal/hazard indicator that is amber colored and front facing, which the headlight housing has.
