Seibon CF hood on a shinka?

I was thinking of putting a Seibon CF hood on my shinka......just wondering if anyone with a shinka has done it and if so do you have pics....

does anyone have any thoughts good or bad???
Im not sure how it would look with the black cherry...

I would say bad idea just because it is a limited edition. It doesn't seem to me really that the Shinka was made for modding, but that's just me.

Yeah, a shinka should stay shinka otherwise it won't be a shinka.

i think the shinka is classy because of its interior that this seibon hood is far too aggressive anyway.

I think it will actually look nice, but to keep with the classiness of the Shinka, paint the Seibon to match the rest of the body.

someone else mentioned that to me....i think it sounds good buy why by a cf hood and then turn around and paint it.....it was suggested it might be available in fiberglass....or something else?

I don't think that they offer that hood in fiber glass...but check with seibon to be sure

Personally I wouldn't buy it for the carbon fiber, I'd buy it for the looks. I think MikeB is a great example.

the more I think about the more I like the idea of that hood in black cherry....
hmmmmmmmmmm now how could I accomplish that...

Just buy that bad boy, take it to a bodyshop and give them your paint code. Take plenty of pics too!

I think quite a few people have done it, however you may want to check with the bodyshop and get their opinion.

I get the KS style Seibon CF hood, put it on and if I dont like it I can have it painted black cherry???

I say go for it. It's your car, do what you want. Just keep the original hood in case you don't like the end result. If it's something your not too sure of and worried about the cost of painting CF you can always try and find something you like in fiberglass and have it painted.

Its your car! I have the Shinka myself and I have changed the body kit intake and exhaust and downpipe for it. Will be doing alot more to it.

I hear ya kalli.....ive already got an OEM spoiler...not sure i wanna change that...
someone told me that they saw a cf hood on a shinka in person and it looked good.....Im probably gonna get it and install and see how I feel.....
