I like anything LED on the tail light but cant seem to find anything for less than $500.

 

Just a little update, I have managed to get my jap fren to make enquiry, awaiting their reply.....

 

$500?!? I know there's labor involved with opening the lenses, but the LED circuits are not hard to wire in. $500, or any of the other prices I've seen for LED tails, is just crazy. Why does everything for the RX8 have to be so damn expensive?

 

Ive literally had a set of tails apart now (behind the red lens) for about 6 months. All i need is a circuit board with two rings of leds.. I just dont know how to wire together leds. Seems like a simple project if someone would just sell a pre made board that fits in there for cheap.

unlikely to happen. RR did the tail light GB before and noted what a pain in the *** it is. you cant imagine unless you've done a lot of soldering. be better off getting a schematic contracted out for a small run

Yes, they have came back to me and quoted YEN35,000 for the custom modification excluding taillights. They can also source 2nd hand pair or brand new for their modification at their shop. I have my frens in Jap to arrange all the shipping for me. Now awaiting their tailights quoatation.

The headlights look great. No way I would pay $1800 for a pair though.

 

wow those are expensive, but gd they look sexy!! if i had money i'd buy them. i do wish they didn't use yellow for the pocket lights though, kinda ruins it.

oh, what?!? so they're white w/ the running lights/headlights on but blink yellow w/ the turn signals, then go back to white or off depending on headlights?? uh, that might be the coolest thing ever.

looks like they're side marker has white and yellow too.

 

oh damn- i love those lights. crap. add those to my build.
