RX-8 Xmen Strakes different the regular?

For those ready to flame, yes I searched.

Question is:
Are the strakes on the XMEN car the same as the regular ones? For some reason they look a little differnt to me, but I am thinking they are the same. Just wondering what you guys thought. I am almost done with a preliminary mold in my attempt to sandcast these strakes. I may get a chance thursday to see how it turns out. Anywhoo Thanks.

Alex

also, n e one have ideas or recomendations for different strake styles? This may be premature, but it maybe interesting to see what is possible.

Thumbs up

Hey Alpha,
I have the Xmen kit installed on my sunlight 8. (I will be posting pics soon) First off the whole kit is fiberglass so they are very light and yes mikeB is right they are slightly smaller in length. I already had the original strakes on my 8 so I have the Xmen ones left over. If anyone's interested please pm me. They are unpainted so you can go to town on them and have something unique.

From Eribuni. I bought just the front of the kit which excludes the exhaust tips and the the side flares. It was their first one in the country and the next was scheduled for May/June.

The exhaust finishers are fiberglass, after seeing them in person I wish I had bought them too. They are designed for the stock bumper but are huge, (they come out around and flare towards the center of the car) You can purchase the rear of the kit by itself. This consists of the finishers plus the side flares.
