Rear lip removal

Evening Everyone!

Just wondering if anyone here has removed the rear lip from the car boot, im getting the OEM spoiler and wondered if there was much work in removing the previous.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Where are you located? Is this the OEM trunk lip (I think I see a European plate in your avatar)? Or an aftermarket trunk lip?

Factory lip spoiler? I don't think its bolts. It should be those press in clips and 3M adhesive tape if I remember right. But there are holes drilled in the trunk lid. I haven't removed mine but that's what shown in the workshop manual.

I have an aftermarket I installed with heavy duty 3m double sided tape. I love the look of the Euro lip which is why I got my aftermarket one.

Yeah, if it's the OE lip, it will have holes but i'm not exactly sure where they are or if they line up with the holes that the OE spoiler needs. I would keep the lip though, I think it looks better than the spoiler.

Thanks for all of the input guys, i love the lip too but i thought it might be cool to fit the spoiler. If its clipped in i think ill just leave it, as its nice anyway. And put the money somewhere else in the car. Im going to get the front air dam, just ordered. Should be interesting to fit haha!

They don't line up. On a wing spoiler its two holes per sides of the trunk. On the lip spoiler it's like four holes along the trunk edge.

I figured that was case.

Good call on sticking with the lip, dsavin, it will look great with the front air dam!
