Rear bumpers.

My friend has just bought a rx8 and he is looking for a rear bumper/exhaust combo where you can see the exhaust piping standing behind it. For example,

If that Z's rear bumper where it is black was raised a bit more and the exhaust resonators were showing a lot from the back, is basically what he wants. He asked me and completely stumped me, I checked everywhere I know of for one with no luck. I am hoping somebody knows where he could pick one up.

Cut out the oem "mesh" for that result

I think some replica MS diffusers sit rather high...

I cut out the fake mesh of the stock bumper and put a very thin real mesh in. You can see my giant HKS Hi-Power canister very well peeking out under its skirt.

I would say probably the plastidip mod. There is a thread about how to do it.

Yeah it is Plastidip. The Lowe's by me keeps a couple cans in stock. $6 a piece and you should be able to do it with one can. Don't do your wheels.

The mesh was really easy, too. I followed a DIY on here to take the bumper off and cut the mesh out with an angle grinder. Stapled some black gutter screen in inconspicuous spots and cut the ends of the staples off to hide them. Took me about an hour and 10 minutes total.
