Question Questions about replacing a few things

Ok so my driver side mirror has a big scratch on it and a plan to replace it and the passenger side one. Can this be removed without taking off the mirror cover? I had to glue both of mine with goop since they were loose and rattling. Aren't they held on by 3m double sided tape so I could just yank them off an reapply the new ones?

I also saw that you can replace the lenses on the gauge cluster. How hard would this be to do without damaging anything? Is this the correct item? I just want to know if I am looking at the right item. They are items 4 and 5.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the actual mirror just snaps back into place...it is kind of tough to get them out and clip them back in. With the right force it can be done without shattering the mirror. Also there will be a couple wires connecting the mirror if you have heated mirrors. Just remember where they go...should be a black and a red or something to that effect.

Just to clarify...you are talking about the actual reflective side...not the painted part..right?

Yeah the reflective part. Do you know if it would be worth it for me to order the GT reflective mirrors for my touring, so if I want to add the wiring to make them heated I could do that? I'm assuming there would be nothing wrong with putting in the heated ones, even if I don't decide to wire them.

I probably wouldn't bother, but it would work either way

I don't drive my car in the snow or ice, so I don't even use my heated mirrors.

Neither do I, but sometimes it get as low as 20 degrees and it takes a while for the mirrors to defog.

Does anyone know about the gauge cluster lenses?
