question on new rear flare

Guys, I saw this white RX-8 today, and it has some kind of rear flair that I have never seen before. It's like a reverse V shape. I really don't know how to describe it, sorry. IS there any new rear flair out in the market that you know of? thanks.

uhh... seems kinda weird. there are a couple kits that have flares for the stock rear, but none that i know of that are reversed V shaped...

what is a flare? Is like a spoiler or a diffuser?

I thought flare was all those buttons you have to wear at those places like Bennigans and T.G.I. Friday's.
