So it happened yesterday when I backed up my car and hit something.
I got out of car and checked my rear bumper.......... about 3in of dent right next to the licence plate and minor scratches.... and I dont exactly know the name for that... the black part right below the rear bumper...
anywayz.... I could see many scratches there too.
So I took my car to a bodyshop (Mazda certified..), and they said that they could fix upper part of rear bumper, but there was no way to fix that black part 'cause it's made of texture... whatever... Or else I would have to replace the bumper to look like new again.
Since it's minor scratches in black part, I am just wondering if anybody has experienced this and fixed it without replacing the whole bumper.
It's only been 2 month with Rx8. I cant believe this kinda thing happened already.

Please help me out~~~~~

 

that textured part cant be re-finished....your choices are a new bumper, painting the textured part or cleaning it as best as you can and dealing with the pain

 

If the colored portion is cosmetically good, the lower portion can be replaced by the Mazdaspeed rear valence. A new bumper may be the same price, but if you're looking for an excuse...

I just checked on the website and found that rear under spoiler was available.
How much will it be? and will it look as good as the original bumper or even better?
