PAINTED Exhaust Shrouds
I got bored yesterday so i decided to paint my exhaust shrouds.
i removed them, of course, taped them off, and sprayed 2 base coats of white. i used krylon spray paint, the kind for plastics (fusion i think)... then i sprayed 2 coats of arctic silver... they turned out pretty nice. they are not perfect but still adds another dimension, i think..... and for $7...... it's a helluva lot cheaper then buying the chrome finishers.....

yeah, I'm gonna agree with most...that is was courageous. At this point, buying those chrome ones to try and cover this up won't work, the painted surface goes beyond where the chrome fillers would fit. I'm not going to say whether I like it or not...cause it doesn't matter. Thanks for showing us something new.

Just let it be. This is not a "On a scale of 1 - 10".
If you curve the bottom inside corner it would look more refined.
I give you props for attempting this.
Now trim that bottom inside edge and I think you will see people doing this after you post the new pics. :D

Props for being original
Maybe if you paint the grid inbetween the two so it looks like it's silver it might look ok, maybe...
Person that put those on their car would be plenty upset if they melted, at that price.
