I noticed a two inch patch of paint had popped off over my rear right quarter panel. The bare galvanized metal is exposed. Anyone seen this?

Nope. If it's still original paint, take it to the dealer.

 

I did check with the dealer. The car is an '04, so I am out of warranty and they will do nothing. I have the car in right now for a repaint of that panel, plus another parking lot idiot ding to both doors on the same side. The shop I use is the best in the city. They are giving me a break on the job, which should top out at about $1,000.00 with taxes. The same shop did a complete repaint of the entire car after it was keyed in '05. Every panel was scratched down to metal. The car was just over one year old. Boy, were my wife and I pissed!!
