Oracle Halo Headlight Kits?
https://www.fluidmotorsports.com/p-1...-lighting.aspx
Has anyone on here every installed them? Are they just new headlights you replace the stock headlights with?
Are they worth the price tag?

ill give my 2 cents, i got the very first oracle set made for rx8s awhile back. Installed them (broke one and had to reorder, which was my fault). They looked great for a month, then one of the little rings burnt out. To compensate I disconnected the little ring on the opposite side. Two months later one of the large rings went out, and come to find out some of the wiring overheated so much it melted the rubber off parts of the wires. You can take that info and do with it what you will.
They looked good though

not to talk bad about them, that was just my experience....theres others who have had them installed for a little while and have had very few problems. I dont know, if i was going to do it again, id get some good quality bmw rings that fit the big housings. The problem is, once you glue those rings to the housings, if you have one blow out after a month or two, its a pain in the *** to take it all apart again and replace it..so do it with the best quality stuff the first time

^^....Nice....If it was meant for the RX8 to have Halos then they would just go ahead and make the headlights with them already built into them. Kinda like the ricers have...Not meant to happen...Just go by a Beamer...lol

they do look good if done right, the best look is two large rings though. somewhere on this forum theres a thread with pics from a guy that had some mounted..the inner large ring was mounted on a clear floating ring which looked way better than the tiny one and large one in my opinion

oracle is overpriced cheapness, heres a good quality and cheap diy kit(and yes, their products are high quality i use this site for work and at home):
Dual Angel Eye Color Changing Kit
and at $30, they **** all over the oracle ccfl ones
you can buy two more and still be able to connect them to the module as well

I installed a set on mine. Trust me, If I can install them, anyone can...
One thing is though, if you drive often on bumpy roads, I wouldnt recommend them.
The smaller ring doesnt have full contact with the housing when you epoxy it and mine actually shifted a bit so now they're not completely even. It still looks good because it was only a little bit, but still bugs me if you go up close.
To be honest, I dont like ricey cars, but I do like the look of my 8 with the halos.
Just my opinion. and to be honest, I think the wireing is not that bad. I had a splash guard over my front right tire that had melted for some reason. I drove through tons of rain on multiple occasions. Water was splashing up inside where the connections/housing were. They were mildly wrapped with electrical tape. Never blinked, flashed, fried, or went out. Have had em for about 3-4 months now.
A+ for durability in my book.
