Yeah that was just when he did it, I believe he sold them and that person had them PC'ed but that was a while ago so I may be wrong.

I'm thinking about picking up a cheap MS rear diffuser and fiberglassing the right opening closed.

I really love the FD look with the single exhaust and would love to see something like this

^most of those "meshes" and **** to cover up the exhaust holes look like ****. I think it would be dope if someone made a rear like Vertex with single outlet, or some sort of diffusor like the MS with single outlet, that flows well.

the problem there is that the mesh does not match anything else on the car. For someone like myself I would have to stay close to an oem look. I try to keep my car as clean looking as possible. The shroud would have to somehow keep the flow of the car.

IMO, HKS single doesn't look bad as is on the stock rx8 rear, and certainly not bad at all with the MS rear. If your so concerned about looks of a single then maybe just buy a nice dual? For me the thing about the HKS is that its cheap and light, and making a custom bumper to fill in the rear shroud for the other side seem to defeat the cheat part of the equation.

i get what you're saying, but what if people buy the hks because they like the sound of it..

we're just seeing if we can get someone to perhaps make a rear that fits only the hks...theres a few interested, but i dont know how many people would actually buy it...

I'm seriously going to have to try that...cut away the fake mesh portion of the rear bumper and the shrouds but keep the side aero pieces....damn that looks good.

Then I could redo the exhaust because the big can of the HKS Hi-Power would look weird exposed...

It looks a bit unfinished but promising. I think with a little molding someone could finish up the appearance. Maybe even add a diffuser...

Yeah I agree...but it does look VERY good especially considering how easy it would be to do. Custom exhaust would be the bigger challenge. And it looks like there is no more exhaust heat shield.

I'm trying very hard to picture this with your Kenstyle bumper.

I have been thinking for the last few months someone needs to make a rear bumper like this. You see lots of other cars with rears like this which provides the owners more exhaust choices. It is one of the reasons why I really like the INGS shrouds.
