Is this normal?

Problem is that inside my RX8-AT either too hot or too warm... even at outside tem is around at 55-60... always putting out warm or hot air from the vent.. So my AC is always working when driving... I heard that RX8 engine gets pretty hot but is this normal?? anyone having the same issue? Also when I took my vechicle in because of bad CD player and told them this issue they just said that it's normal for RX8...

Hit the AC button :D It isn't normal, take it back to the dealer if you still have problems, mine is really cold.

The 8 is a hot car it seems lately...

Where is the intake for the vents coming from?

By default air source is set from external. With the fan OFF and AC OFF I often used to have HOT air come out of the vents.

Basically, engine heated air was coming out the vents with everything off. Switch it to recycle cabin air and the problem will go away.

That is, if I understood your problem correctly.

I believe there is an A/C TSB out...do a search, I know this has been mentioned many times before. And no, it's not right. It may have some extra heat in the cupholders (all the better to keep my tea warm) but should not be a hot car (temperature-wise that is)

There is a TSB out on it. I just read it. Do a search you should find it. If not go to finishlineperformance.com and read it there.

When the AC is OFF, are you sure you have the recirculating air set to NOT get air from the outside?
