Non CF vented hood.
Anyone know where can I get vented hood, Varis style (aka Seibon TS)?
I dont want CF because I want to paint to match car color.
Searched around and found dead end.
Some threads talked about vented OEM hood, but those threads are all old and dead now.
Or anyone with vented OEM hood, please post your photo.
Thanks.

Mostly I found people buy CF vented hood and painted it.
I just want to find another option, which may cost less.
Why need CF since I will paint it anyway.
This thread talked about DIY vented OEM hood.

End up that it will be difficult since rx-8 has a bunch of cone shaped things that are a real pain in the *** to work with.
Or did I miss any good threads?
Thanks anyway

Beside, I might be able to reduce some weight (material + vented).
From what I've read, CF hoods in the market are not really lighter than OEM.
And dry CF will cost around $1000+. Not worth to paint it.
FRP or Aluminum should cost less and will be lighter.
However, authentic FRP Varis hood would cost twice more than Seibon TS.

Thanks.

Oh! forget to mention, I tried Googling before I started this thread.
Only non-CF hood that I found was FRP Veilside D-1 replica hood.
