Nokya Arctic Yellow Fog Light Bulbs

Has anyone tried the Nokya Arctic Yellow H11 replacement fog light bulbs? I bought the yellow ion AdvancedOptik bulbs and aren't happy with the color. Would like something that looks really yellow.

You can try HID 3000K yellow. Looks just like GS400 foglights.

The Nokya's advertise they're equivalent to 2500K. I can't find equivalent to 3000K in a halogen bulb.

Tinted HID bulbs? I dont think those are a good idea. I'd go with some Mtec yellows. My buddy got 'em in his Subaru headlights. YELLOW. I'll get some of pics to post later today.

fd3s777, those look like HIDs. Will those simply replace the stock foglight bulbs without having to rewire anything?

TxRx8, pics would be greatly apreciated.

Those bulbs will require you to purchase the whole kit. Including ballasts and igniters.
They dont come cheap either. I say a good $300 for an aftermarket fog hid kit. I'll get those pics uploaded for you once my buddy wakes up.

I just off the phone with my bud he says if you want true yellow light get the ion crystal rx8 fogs with some piaa yellow bulbs and they'll look like this.

If your just looking for the bulbs for an upgrade go with the Hella Yellow stars. They should come with stock wattage and with a nice yellow output. They're like 6 bucks each too.

Nokya bulbs suck, there's a reason they sell for 19.99 on eBay and various ricer shop websites :p

you do know that Mazda sells a yellow foglight kit for the 8 right? (replaces the stock clear foglight units, IIRC)

Yeah but those things are over $200 right? And aren't they the same as the stock light but with a yellow and blue overlay/tint on them?

Why do you say that the Nokya sux. I'm curious. Do you mean the real Nokya or those cheap knock offs brands?

I was thinking of getting some Nokya 7000k with the heavy duty harness, so that they don't burn or melt anything.

Nokya IS a knockoff brand... I bought 2 pairs of Nokya bulbs (one for headlights, another for foglights) for my old Protege and both pairs failed in a few months... terrible product... stick with better brands like PIAA or Raybrig or Osram/Silvania...

Thanks for the heads up. By chance were you ever on the P5 forums? One of my boys just traded in his P5 for a 6

You have the same chance of failure with PIAA. I've had PIAA headlights and foglights in my Infiniti & Land Cruiser. Both had lights that failed within a couple monthes. PIAA is quite expensive as most of you know and from my experience not worth the extra cash. This time around I'm trying a set of 6000k EuroDesigns from Ebay for my new '05 Expedition Limited. I guess we'll see which option turns out to be the best. If it's not the second option than I'm only out $25 instead of $150.

I think the reason they fail, is due to the higher power consumption ? They run much hotter and sometimes they can mess up the wire harness. Has anyone upgraded to a stonger wire harness with something like this?
