I believe one of the reasons a mass produced true diffuser has not been created for the RX8 is due to the exhaust location / style. A proper diffuser should travel a fair length forward, just like Mazdatrix's. With a regular exhaust system, an awful lot of heat would get trapped in there / there isn't much room. But eh, this is just my guess based on working with diffusers on other cars.
Rotr8 - Were you working on a custom diffuser a while back? I think I remember drooling over it

Auto to manual swapped
I wish they would update the site already. I know it's only Ken and a few people but I would have never known they had so much inventory for the 8 until I saw a thread that had a few pics of kits they make(forgot where I saw it lol).

Yes I once mocked up a plywood bumper, it would have worked perfectly except like you mentioned that our exhuast hang low. It just wasn't suited for the car in the way I wanted.
I am currently making add-ons for the MS bumper that extend the diffuser fins about 60mm downward

You could always do what SpeedSource does on higher speed tracks. They have two rear bumper setups, bumper A typical MS wide-body bumper all molded into one piece, bumper B is the same but with three slots cut out to vent air. In their case they are cutting down on the drag caused by the bumper but the same application could resolve the heat issue at the same time. Im actually prepping my MS bumper in this fashion for DGRR.

where are you cutting the slots? in the back of the fins?

Yeah but the other companies do such a SHITTY JOB. I think we all want a good AERO tested Mazdaspeed replica, not some Extreme Dimensions Fiberglass bullshit or some other crappy quality build that has to be fitted in order to get it on your damn car.
Quality... If Shine made a (Quality) AERO tested replica Mazdaspeed front then id be game... I DO NOT put replica crap on my car (quality is usually ****) and when I figured out my Seibon hood two years ago was a replica from the actual design from Varis (somehow I didnt know despite all my research... sigh) I almost took it off my car. If it hadn't gotten keyed and had the hood's clear gel coat sanded off and put an appropraite acyclic clear coat on I would of sold it.

Well I guess I wrongfully assumed that everyone knew that MS meant Mazdaspeed. Perhaps what I should ask is, who offers high quality Mazdaspeed replicas? Everything I've thus far read suggests that there are no real contenders, just checking with the "experts" on this site for opinions.
Thanks for any responses.

Some replicas cant even be fitted
Some replicas have gaps
Some replicas only have gaps around the corner lights
Some replicas suck everywhere
Some replicas suck alittle everywhere.
Its all hit or miss with replicas, though i havnt seen too many horror stories with the company KBD. They generally suck around the corner lights, pay to get it to fit right, learn to live with it or cover the hole and delete your corner light are your solutions.

Just ordered my body kit from Shine.
RX8 F-type Front Aero Bumper
RX8 Spec-F Sideskirts CF Accented (Twill weave)
RX8 K-style Rear Aero Bumper CF accented (Twill weave)
Ken said it'll take them 2 weeks, hopefully it'll get here before I have to leave in April... but probably not.
