Sorry if I am beating this subject but these companies such as Vertex and other Jap brand products are still around and being sold into the US. I personally do think that this will steal some of their business since people will rather generally spend money on something cheaper. Its almost the concept of buying legit wheels or going into replicas.
I personally know people with legit parts and you just gotta be willing to pay to play.
I also went through Shine's product since I got it a great price through a member. Fitment was not on point at all. Maybe they did yours perfectly since you are near them and they make "one of" pieces for you.
But I will just end my statement about Shine making other companies body kit. This subject on the RX7club is talked about a lot also.

Thanks Eric!
Just to put some final closing words on the subject - those who buy Varrstoens, would not have purchased TE37's had Varrstoens not existed. This is the sort of person the replica market is best suited for; a market segment that would otherwise be keeping their cars stock, and not purchasing the authentic product in the first place. Apply that same concept here and voila, you can see how I reach my conclusion. *The intellectual property argument deserves a whole other thread, so let's please not get started on that here*.
In regard to fitment, I'm only sharing my direct experiences; can't speak on anyone else's behalf.
I understand and respect both sides of the argument but would really like to stay on track from here out - thanks guys! I do not work for Shine Auto nor am I being paid for this; I simply want to stimulate discussion on the forum in an area that has potential for growth.

that would make sense if your were rolling around on XXRs or Rotas, but you roll around on some of the most expensive wheels suited for imports, so I don't know how your applying your logic to body kits that cost the same amount as your lustrous history of wheels, just saying

Like Tilt mentioned Shine will not replicate American based kits, I imagine because of the ease at which an American co. can take legal action as opposed to the extremely expensive cost involved in international legal courses, that's why Shine is able to get away with what they do, thats all Im going to go into it. If they were an American manufactuer for the these co. so that people could expedite of shipping and customs scheduling and cost that would be one thing, but they just rip off the design and make cheap knock-offs for profit, no different than a chinese knock off co., IMO. I don't think parties on either side of the argument are going to be persuaded to see the others reasoning.

Rotr8 - I didn't mention anything about what was replicated, I believe that was another forum member. I am not aware of the exact legal implications; however, how many good looking US aero kits are out there? This is likely more reason for choosing other kits out there than anything else.
pdxhak - That may or not be the case; my argument was purely that those who buy Varrstoens would not likely have purchased Volks in the first place, thus it was an untapped/unmet market.
This thread has gone down the drain. I really just wanted to show some new products a Socal company is offering - nothing more, nothing less. Yes, I am partially to blame for continually responding, but let's just leave it at this. Please, no more responses regarding the replica Vs. authentic debate; feel free to create a new discussion thread if you wish.

matrx8, get the feed front and sides and just get the carboncraft license plate backing to flow the CF, or use 3m wrap and wrap the oem plastic on the bottom.
post pics of the feed front, its sex and i want it badly. Let me know if they have fixed the corner light issues, grog had it on his white rx8 and it was HOTT, i love feed to death. email shine for me too and PM me when you find out what price they are selling the feed front for.
thanks.

Dont go with the KS style rear, Tilt has the only car i think it looks half decent on, probably because his wheel tire and suspension setup is super aggressive. I really dont like the exhaust exit location though.

I work for a wheel manufacturer who produces a high quality, yet cost effective option to the market; I've been dealing with this same exact question every day with end users and wholesale clients alike for years now. How does my personal wheel choice discredit the argument in any way? Keep in mind, this rear aero is also the first non-authentic product I've had on my car.
