It's not hard. You'll need a switch and some extra wire. I found some that is very similar to what comes off the strip light, two insulated wires joined together. That's probably the best way to go since you have to feed it down through the little hole on the underside of the hood. Might be harder if you are feeding two separate wires. Then just connect the ground to a grounding point (I used one of the bolts near the firewall on the driver's side). Run the power to the switch and then from switch to battery. I mounted my switch on the fuse box, but you can put it where you like.

The LED bulbs usually look great when photographed at night or in dim environment.
The trouble starts when looking at them in bright sunlight. This is especially true for the turn signals. The red taillights don't suffer as much, but the turn signals are notoriously harder to see if they are LED bulbs. It may not only be the brightness but the light dispersion pattern, so that the LEDs don't work as effectively with the reflectors.
Just do a comparison with them vs. the ugly stock yellow bulbs.
That's the only complaint I have with my all-LED setup, and I doubt these newest (and insanely expensive) LED bulbs are on par with the visibility of the filament bulbs - but I may be wrong of course

Oh, it will also be a couple months before we see bright sunlight here in the PNW. Sorry.

So I got my HID fogs installed last night. They are working and look great but I have two questions.
First off when I was installing one I didnt bend down the scatter sheild enough at first and the blue part that is covering the wire running along side the bulb craked at the base. I guess it isnt a big deal since they both still work but just wanted to see what others thought?
And second whenever I switch on the fogs they make a noise im not exactly sure how to explain the sound but does anyone else that has the HID fogs hear some sound when they switch them on? Im guessing its just the ballast making the sound. Maybe.

ok guys i got all of the new LEDs installed yesterday so I figured I'd do a write up on them
first of all I originally swaped from stock incandescent bulbs to the cheaper (lower grade) LEDs from VLED (full interior and exterior)
the swap was definately worth the money...all of the LEDs were MUCH brighter than stock and the LEDs i chose were not that expensive
next I upgraded the all of my 194 bulbs (sidemarkers, interior, etc) from the cheaper LEDs to a newer, improved verson of the 194 LED...this one
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/Dome-Map-LED/White-LED/V-LEDS-HID-WHITE-4-M-p8187987-1-2.html
i absolutely LOVE this light...super bright! and i used it for the courtesy lights, map lights, sidemarkers, trunk light, license plate, and parking lights...well worth the $19.99
secondly i upgraded the signals, reverse light, and brake lights from the cheaper LEDs to the new $80 premium bulbs...these
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Parking-Light-LED/Amber-LED/V-LEDS-PLATINUM-AMBER-p9448887-1-2.html
now let me clarify and say that the swap from stock to LED was well worth it but, the swap from the cheaper VLED bulbs to the new premium bulbs...not worth it all all IMO...they are SLIGHTLY and i stress SLIGHTLY brighter than the cheaper LEDs...and 4 times the price...they are supposedly supposed to last longer because of the new heat sinks in them but i never had any trouble with my old ones after pobably a year
so i do recommend the conversion to LED but IMO i dont see the point in spending the extra $ on the premium bulbs...just thought I'd share this with everyone else
i will post pics of the new premium bulbs tonight when i get home
oh and also the LEDs in the signals will cause a very rapid blink as if you have a bulb out or something...thought I'd let you guys know...anyone have a solution for this???

you have to add a load resistor in to the circuit, the one you need is listed in the first post of this thread.
