New carbon fiber vented hood????
Hey i was just browsing on cardomain.com and came across this red rx-8 with a sweet vented hood, anyone seen this??? what do you think? i like it has a nice clean look yet not over doing it, IMO.

just so you know www.rx8garage.net sells them thew the owner is a vendor here and he has some other CF hoods

It looks like a Knight Sports hood for the RX-7. Liked it on the 7, not so much on the 8....in general I don't think it works well to take a design for one car and then transfer it to the next...if you don't design it for the 8, good luck getting it to look clean. Just my opinion, as always....

I was just trying to give my 2 cents on what i know of the hood.... if you want to come off like an *** then please do so

I don't think they're white...I think they're just unpainted metallic mesh. Personally, on the FD (and I was right it appears...calling it "KS-style" implies they've copied the Knight Sports hood, although I don't know if Knight Sports actually makes a hood like that for the 8) I thought the metallic mesh looked fine, as long as the hood was painted body color (of course its a pretty easy thing to simply paint the mesh if you don't like the silver look). I like carbon fiber in its place, but body panels...including hoods....is not one of those places. Again, just my $0.02.
