new carbon fiber bits are done

Here are the few things i have been working on along with getting my new rims. I redid the door handles and gas lid. I then added mirrors, roof and rails, and a few small pieces in the trunk. The trunk is still being worked on and waiting for my custom built sub with carbon cone and dust cap.

brilliant. I like it. (though, more importantly, you do). I've been wondering how some of those CF bits would look on my SS, but i think if i squint just right...

Thanks guys

no it is not authentic ms spoiler. It was a pain to get ahold of and work to get it on.

This will be the last of the carbon i add to the outside (aside from the carbon rims sitting here). Its just enough black not to take away from the yellow.

bumblebee, looking good.
Are the parts over-layed with CF or is it a vinyl wrap job?

Here's what a CF hood, CF roof, and CF trunk look like on an SS.

No problem Jedi. By the way where did you get your car cover made?

Mine is real carbon fiber. The metal roof was sanded down, painted black, then applied with clear epoxy resin, and lastly clear coated.

I did my own in the garage Along with quite a few other one off parts that are not available easy.

Ive been debating the roof for over a year just always got invested (time and money) in doing other things like turbo

I figured add the accolade fenders and these wheels and this should complete the outside.

BB: real carbon and you did it yourself? badass man, congrats on a job well done.
Those wheels are baller! (plus we all know I'm partial to twin-5 spoke wheels)

as for the car cover: I've actually gotten a ton of questions on it since I posted the pic recently.
It's a form fit cover from cover craft http://covercraft.com/Form-Fit.htm
I'll warn you in advance, it's not cheap but it's worth EVERY penny.

not my car, it's my buddy Newcastle's.
The carbon fiber roof was a custom job done by Auto Explosion in SoCal. That's the company that's done all the body work on my car, newcastle's, ngorx8, xdeedubbx, etc etc
they do amazing work!

as far as the carbon the rims were done by 360, the hood and trunk are seibon, and the ms spoiler and rear are done by a company in Japan. It was chaper/ easier to go that route but eveything else i did along with a few other parts floating around on cars.

I have thrown cheap out the door at this point. so why not a good cover. my last one worked untill i added the lower sitting front and spoiler.

Jedi I love your wheels and overall car lol and became a sucker for the split spoke too. I own a set of super rozza in 18s podercoated mirror black for normal driving and track and these for show now.

Hmm. it's just a carbon fiber overlay on the roof? I have a SS and want to do the whole cf thing on it (a two-tone car, cf and ss, lol). Now i really want the hood and bootlid. thanks.

Damn you have hands down the best yellow 8 I have seen to date. I'm a huge cf fan and yours is tastefully done, i'm trying to cover my roof in carbon to finish my look off but idk where to even start.

Btw, IMHO... don't do the Accolade fenders, look into a body kit instead.

I was wondering how it all looked together........and it looks freaking awesome!
The mirrors look bad ***, the roof turned out great and I can't wait to see it with those rimz!
Dayum bro! Let me know when you've got some time and I'll drive down.
I'm putting my coilovers+sways on today. My car wants that roof too! hehe.
(the rails look sweet too! bonus!)

yeah we will have to get together. I should have the rims on soon but not sure. trying to puzzle the last few bits together.

the roof ended up being quite a bit of work and a pain, I may do another one but not sure yet.

lol, my roof has no big hole.
Pm me the prep work you want me to do and I'll swing over ready and set when we have some time. After, I'll get it cleared over in Windsor, when I get my trunk recleared and lip painted VR, and skirts painted VR too.
Your fenders are not on yet. Fitment issue?
