MS Wing & bolt holes

I did a search & didn't find any info. When I bought my 8 it had the factory wing on it. I was wondering if the MS wing will cover up the holes that were used to mount the factory wing or will it use the same holes?

Any help will be apprieciated.

i cant see mazda putting a wing on the car, then selling the mazdaspeed wing and making you deal with holes that wont work for the mounting of the new wing

You obviously didn't search hard enough (or at all), since this topic has been covered multiple times already.

As it was posted numerous times, the MS wing will use two of the regular stock wing's mounting holes per side. The stock wing has three holes on each side - the third unused one will be covered by the MS wing, but it's a good idea to rustproof the hole anyway.
You may end up with some scratches to the trunk lid from the stock spoiler which won't be covered by the Mazdaspeed wing.
Also, it is possible that even though the MS wing will install fine using the original holes, it's base might still not line up properly with the trunk lid. This depends on whether the stock wing was installed correctly (according to the template) or not.

Has anyone ever had the holes line up correctly?

Mine definately didn't, and the last install post I saw when someone used the factory spoiler holes showed a gap from the underspolier and the trunk lid.

Exactly what he said. And I think I may have posted the last about this issue. Mine didn't line up because of the factory placement of the original OEM wing. I'm happy with mine, even with the fitment issues and small scratches on the truunk deck.
